The Global Cyber Games Charity Battle 2022, a PlayCyber Competition powered by Katzcy, will take place at the same time as BlackHat USA 2022 in Las Vegas at the HyperX Esports Arena on August 11, 2022, from 12 PM–10:00 PM PST.

Attend

As a member of the audience, you have a front-row seat to watch the teams compete in a king-of-hill competition and cheer on your favorites.

Audience members receive:

Audience members attending the games can help their charities WIN more by buying charity-themed drinks (a portion of the proceeds will be provided directly to charities represented by the teams). Audience members watching online can donate to teams directly.   This event will be an exciting in-person experience. If you can’t attend, you can watch it LIVE streamed.

Play

  • Each registered team plays for their chosen charity.
  • Teams compete in a King-of-the-Hill-style competition on the SimSpace platform (3 teams per 2-hour session).
  • The top three teams play in a final competition to determine 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place cash awards for their charity.
This King-of-the-Hill game, provided by SimSpace, is designed to equally test the attack and defend skills of each team.  Teams are scored based on their responses to the threats. Possible scoring metrics include, but are not limited to:
  •   Detection of IoCs or artifacts
  •   Mitigation of vulnerabilities
  •   Intrusion response
  •   Reporting
  •   Restoration of service
  •   Restoration of device
  •   Removal of artifacts
  •   Timeliness
