Israel has allowed a shipment of humanitarian aid into Gaza for the first time since sealing borders with the enclave, following its takeover by Islamist group Hamas, the country’s military said. Twenty-two containers with 200 tons of food and 30 tons of medication were delivered to the chaotic region Tuesday through the Kerem-Shalom border crossing, reopened by Israelis to allow humanitarian supplies to pass.
