The Congress of SA Trade Unions today rejected a revised wage offer for public servants and called for a “serious” proposal from the government. “The 7.25 [percent] that is reported to be an offer coming from the mediators is not substantially different from the six percent that the government has offered for weeks now,” Cosatu general-secretary Zwelinzima Vavi said in Cape Town.
