Three journalists may have died at an Eritrean desert camp where dozens of political prisoners are are living in squalid conditions, international media watchdog Reporters Without Borders (RSF) said on Tuesday. RSF urged Eritrea’s government to produce evidence that the journalists were still alive, saying sources had told the watchdog they died in the last 20 months at Eiraeiro detention centre in a remote northeastern desert. Eritrean officials were not immediately available for comment, but Asmara frequently dismisses rights criticisms as part of an international smear campaign against it. Full Story
