While lawyers argued and a jury considered whether Zacarias Moussaoui should live or die, the convicted September 11 conspirator mouthed al Qaeda fight songs, cursed America and smiled as witnesses recounted the deadly hijackings. Moussaoui seemed to savor moments when he could shout “God curse America” and “God bless Osama bin Laden.” But he was careful to do so out of earshot of the jury that will decide if he is to be executed.
