A security alert forced the evacuation of India’s parliament on Friday, and police used sniffer dogs to search the building, officials said. A police official outside the building said legislative staffers had received an anonymous phone call warning of a bomb, but Indian news channels said authorities were alerted to a security threat by an e-mail sent to the U.S. Embassy.
