U.S. Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist said on Tuesday the chamber would work out its differences with the House of Representatives so Congress could pass a bill this year extending a federal backstop for terrorism insurance. “I intend to finish TRIA (the Terrorism Risk Insurance Act) before we leave” for the holidays, said Frist, a Tennessee Republican. Senators would “work through” differences between the bill they passed and the House version even if there are not formal House-Senate negotiations, Frist said. Full Story
