Russia said Tuesday that talks between its ambassador to Iraq and radical Shiite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr were part of Moscow’s dialogue with various political forces. Ambassador Vladimir Chamov’s visit to al-Sadr’s office Monday was the first such contact since the U.S.-led war started in Iraq two years ago.
