Members of the al-Qaeda terror network detained in Iran will not be extradited to the United States, Iranian Foreign Minister Kamal Kharazi said.
But he told reporters here that some of the captives will be soon tried in Iran. Asked if some of the al-Qaeda detainees would be handed over to the United States, Kharazi answered: “Not to the United States.” He said Iran had turned over about 100 al-Qaeda members to Saudi Arabia and had shared some information with the kingdom.
