Top JI bomber escapes from Filipino jail during Australian leader's visit

A top bomb-maker in the Jemaah Islamiyah (JI) militant network escaped from a Manila prison, embarrassing the Philippines as visiting Australian Prime Minister John Howard pledged a five-million-dollar security aid package.
