Two people applied for amnesty in Chechnya over the past 24 hours, Colonel Ilya Shabalkin, a representiave of the operative headquarters directing the anti- terrorist operation in the Northern Caucasus. He told Interfax that the men are residents of the Shelkovskoi region. Thus, the total number of those who have applied for amnesty in Chechnya has reached 126. At the same time, the Chechen prosecutor’s office said that the documents for 76 people are already being considered.
