United States troops have come under a fresh attack in the Iraqi capital Baghdad, according to reports. An American armoured car blew up close to the al-Mustansiriyah University with some reports that soldiers were pulled from the vehicle. Eyewitnesses said the explosion happened after a car bomb had gone off while another said the vehicle had been hit by a rocket-propelled grenade. The explosion was one of several incidents reported on Tuesday, including an attack on a mosque in the flashpoint town of Falluja that killed at least four Iraqis. The US military would not say if there had been any casualties in the Baghdad blast and the area has now been cordoned off by forces investigating the incident. At least 20 American soldiers have been killed in similar attacks since the war was declared over in May. Full Story
