Angola’s army said on Thursday it had neutralised separatist rebels in the Cabinda enclave which produces half the African nation’s oil. Guerrillas from the Front for the Liberation of the Enclave of Cabinda (FLEC) have waged a low-level insurgency for three decades demanding more autonomy from Luanda and a greater share of revenues from Angola’s 2 million barrels a day of oil output.
