Following yesterday’s attack on a group of militants alleged to be terrorising the Niger Delta region at the Abuja Waterfront in Port Harcourt, which also led to the death of two and the arrest of over 20 militants, the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND) has accused and described the action of the Nigerian military strictly as a case of extrajudicial killings. In a statement signed by spokesman of the movement, Jomo Gbomo, and made available to our correspondent in Port Harcourt, the group said the action taken by the Joint Task Force [JTF] was out of place and without due process as required by law.
