The United Nations must gear up to deal with threats to international security from extremists, terrorists, drug traffickers and money launderers, the world body was urged last night. “We need to develop collective security arrangements, while guaranteeing respect of the existing borders between states and non-encroachment of their sovereignty,” Foreign Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa told the UN General Assembly.
