Malaysian opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim on Monday left the Turkish embassy in Kuala Lumpur where he took refuge after being hit with sodomy accusations, an AFP reporter witnessed. Anwar, 60, was accompanied by his wife and daughter as he left the mission where he fled on Sunday saying he feared a government assassination attempt, and insisting the government must guarantee his safety.
