Spain’s conservative opposition Popular Party sought to heal its internal divisions at a national convention that opened Friday, three months after it suffered its second successive election defeat. “We have not come here to fight one another,” the mayor of the Mediterranean city of Valencia, Rita Berbera, said in an inaugural speech to the three-day gathering. “We are here to fight socialism and return to government.” Full Story
