Police secured polling stations in Macedonia on Sunday during a partial re-run of parliamentary elections that the country hopes will be free of violence and satisfy the European Union. Fraud, intimidation and a fatal shootout marred the original June 1 vote. The EU has warned that a repeat would almost certainly delay Macedonia’s bid for membership of the bloc. Full Story
