British lawmakers plan to vote Wednesday on a counter-terrorism bill which includes a controversial provision allowing authorities to hold terrorism suspects without charging them for up to six weeks. Civil liberty groups and others staunchly oppose raising the current limit of 28 days to 42, saying the measure is unjust and unnecessary.
