British Prime Minister Gordon Brown has said he does not plan to boycott August’s Olympic opening ceremonies in Beijing or the torch relay in London this weekend. “I think we’ve got to bear in mind that although there’s a huge amount of controversy now surrounding the Olympics because of what’s been happening in Tibet, the Dalai Lama himself has made it clear he doesn’t want there to be a boycott of the Olympics,” Brown told reporters at his monthly news conference.
