A failed plot to bomb a Mexico City police commander has been traced to Mexico’s Sinaloa state, home to one of the country’s most powerful drug cartels, the capital’s top prosecutor said Tuesday. An unidentified man from Mazatlan, Sinaloa, who goes by the nickname “The Boss,” ordered the killing of police Commander Julio Sanchez Amaya following a recent series of weapons seizures and arrests, Mexico City Attorney General Rodolfo Felix Cardenas said.
