Baloch insurgents blew up a gas pipeline in the outskirts of Quetta on Monday, disrupting gas supply to several localities for many hours. Later in the day, the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) claimed responsibility for the explosion and for an unconfirmed attack on army personnel. A six-inch gas pipeline was blown up in the Hazar Gangi area of Quetta district, which suspended gas supply to the Hazar Gangti and Dasht areas, according to Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) officials.
