Riots broke in Spain’s Basque region after the National Court suspended the activities of two Basque political parties on grounds of links with the militant separatist group ETA. Militant ETA supporters attacked the socialist community council building in San Sebastian with incendiaries in the early hours of Saturday, police said. No one was injured. Socialist party offices and those of the governing Basque nationalists as well as several banks and a railway station near Bilbao and in Vitoria were also attacked with incendiaries causing material damage.
