Sudanese troops backed by Janjaweed militia left at least 150 dead and wounded in an assault on a village in western region of Darfur on Friday, a rebel chief said. “At least 150 people from the village targeted, that is Abu Soruj, 55 kilometres (35 miles) north of Geneina (capital of West Darfur) have been killed or wounded,” Justice and Equality Movement (JEM) commander Abdel Aziz Nur al-Asher said.
