Prime Minister Gordon Brown urged Pakistan’s President Pervez Musharraf Friday to “stick to the course he has outlined to build democracy” after the death of Benazir Bhutto. Brown called Musharraf to pass on Britain’s condolences over Bhutto’s death and later his Downing Street office issued a statement in which he also pledged extra support to help Pakistan combat the Al-Qaeda network if necessary.
