Hundreds of people clashed with police Sunday in the Indian portion of Kashmir, hours after burying a 20-year-old man killed in by police a day earlier. At least 35 people were injured. Police used tear gas and water cannons and later fired warning shots in the air to disperse the protesters who marched through the town of Magam and blocked the highway leading to the popular skiing resort of Gulmarg, a police officer said on condition of anonymity as he was not authorized to talk to reporters.
