Heavily armed gunmen killed four policemen at a police station in northern Iraq on Sunday and then blew up the building, police said. They said the attack by nearly two dozen gunmen armed with automatic rifles and rocket-propelled grenades took place at a village near the town of Baiji, an oil refining centre 180 km (110 miles) north of Baghdad.
