International Mideast mediators will meet with key Arab nations next month to promote new efforts to revive the Arab-Israeli peace process, the U.N.’s top envoy to the region said Wednesday. Michael Williams, the U.N. special coordinator for the Middle East peace process, told the Security Council the Sept. 23 meeting will be “an important moment” to take stock of Palestinian-Israeli discussions and prepare for a U.S.-sponsored international peace conference in November.
