Suspected Islamic militants staged more than 40 acts of sabotage early Monday on main roads in Thailand’s restive Muslim south, halting traffic for hours, police said. The militants felled trees to block roads and tossed spikes onto highways around Narathiwat province, one of three on the southern border with Malaysia that has been hit by a separatist insurgency.
