A Toronto police officer was among 24 people arrested in a series of early morning raids Thursday in Canada and the United States that targeted an Eastern European crime organization transporting drugs across the border, police said. The officer, a 34-year-old who has served with the force for eight years, had a close link to the gang and avoided detection by using other officers’ badge numbers to do searches on internal information, Toronto police Supt.
