Hamas forces have arrested the spokesman of the group claiming to hold the BBC Gaza correspondent Alan Johnston, according to Associated Press and Reuters. Abu Khatab al-Maqdisi, a spokesman for the Army of Islam, was arrested after a gun battle with security forces from Hamas, said a spokesman for the Islamist group that took control of Gaza last month.
