Several thousand interior ministry troops loyal to President Viktor Yushchenko are moving toward the capital Kiev in defiance of orders from the interior minister, the ministry said Saturday. “Units comprising several thousand men from the interior ministry troops have left for Kiev,” it said in a statement. “The order for their deployment was given personally by the commander of interior ministry troops Olexander Kikhtenko… despite the orders of the minister of the interior.” Full Story
