Three Americans held by Colombian rebels are too afraid to flee their captors into the jungle and intend to wait for a negotiated release, a police officer who recently escaped said on Tuesday. Jhon Frank Pinchao was held with the three U.S. citizens and French-Colombian Ingrid Betancourt before he managed to escape in April after nearly nine years in the captivity of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, or FARC.
