The commander of British troops in southern Iraq has revealed Saturday details of how they would pull out of the city of Basra and leave the way clear for Iraqi units to take control. General Jonathan Shaw told reporters that in the coming months British forces will pull out of the waterfront Shatt al-Arab Hotel, the Old State Building in the town centre and from Shuaiba, southwest of the city.
