British police are investigating an alleged scam where conmen may have helped hundreds of migrants cheat some of the requirements for British citizenship, a newspaper reported in an early edition. According to The Times daily, four men in their late 20s and early 30s were arrested by South Yorkshire police for apparently selling pass certificates to applicants whose poor English would have given them little hope of passing Britain’s vaunted citizenship test.
