Al-Qaeda Turkey chief caught

One more al-Qaeda operative suspected of being the terrorist network’s Turkey head was taken into custody in the central Anatolian town of Konya, as part of the nationwide raids launched by the Konya Police Department. During an operation called “Şifre” [Cipher] organized by the Konya police, one more person was taken into custody suspected of being a high-ranking member of the internationally acknowledged al-Qaeda terrorist network, in addition to 48 suspects who had been taken into custody during an earlier operation simultaneously launched in seven cities.
