Army troops prepare for crackdown
More than 1,000 Army troops amassed in the Pacific resort of Acapulco and two other cities in Guerrero on Wednesday in preparation for a crackdown on drugs and crime that have plagued the region, state officials said. The mobilization follows the movement of more than 10,000 troops to two other states in the weeks since President Felipe Calderón took office promising to crack down on organized crime. Full Story
