Army chief Sonthi Boonyaratkalin said today insurgent leaders have tried to contact government officials but have made no demands so far. “There have been no demands by the insurgents for separation,” said Gen Sonthi, adding that the government has a policy to negotiate with the extremists to solve the unrest.
