Shops in New Delhi were closed for a second day on Tuesday as traders vowed to step up their campaign against a government drive to shut down businesses operating illegally in residential areas. New Delhi’s main markets were shut for the second day of a three-day strike although some small stores opened. Protesters said they planned to hold at least six rallies in the city later in the day.
