Bangladesh’s government delayed handing over power to a caretaker administration Saturday, as rioting erupted for a second day over the official chosen to lead the country through general elections. At least nine people were killed and hundreds were injured in two days of violence. The government said the transfer of power to a nonpartisan interim administration would take place Sunday, and not Saturday as scheduled.
