THE Government of Sri Lanka has guaranteed Tamil Tiger leaders a safe passage through the capital, Colombo, this week on their way to peace talks in Geneva that are due to start on Saturday. But as fighting continued over the weekend, diplomats gave warning that logistical details such as security and accommodation arrangements could scupper the talks before they even begin.
