NATO troops in Afghanistan should invest in reconstruction projects there, otherwise Taliban militia will be able to re-group over the winter, the commander of Britain’s troops in Afghanistan has warned. Brigadier Ed Butler, the commanding officer of the 3 Paratrooper Battle Group, which recently returned to Britain from southern Afghanistan also said that his troops there came close to running out of rations and supplies.
