Around 5,700 US sailors and Marines from the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit in Sasebo, Japan, arrived early morning Tuesday to participate in the bilateral exercises, dubbed Talon Vision and Amphibious Landing Exercise 2007, between the country and the United States. The arrival completes the composition of the US forces joining their Filipino counterparts for the two-week exercises from the three-ship Essex Amphibious Ready Group (ARG), which is composed of USS Harper’s Ferry (LSD 49), USS Juneau (LPD 10) and USS Essex (LHD 2).
