East Timor has rejected an offer of a UN military peacekeeping force to cope with civil unrest, visiting Prime Minister Jose Ramos-Horta said here. The troubled nation will instead rely on the Australian-led regional force deployed after an outbreak of violence in May, Ramos-Horta said on a visit to Australia.
