A British journalist covering the war in Iraq was shot in the head by US troops as he was driven away from a gunfight, a colleague of the dead reporter has said, citing witnesses. He was speaking at the inquest of Terry Lloyd, 50, a reporter for British TV station ITN, who died in March 2003 near Basra in southern Iraq after getting caught in crossfire between Iraqi and US troops.
