Myanmar’s military junta detained three prominent supporters of detained Nobel peace laureate Aung San Suu Kyi and kept a close watch Wednesday on other activists marking the 18th anniversary of her democracy movement. Min Ko Naing, Ko Ko Gyi and Htay Kywe — who all helped lead pro-democracy demonstrations in the past — were picked up by police early Wednesday morning before the National League for Democracy began its celebrations in Yangon, activists said.
