More than 100 protesters Friday defied a ban on public gatherings and denounced the military overthrow of Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, in the first anti-coup rally since he was deposed three days ago. The new military rulers, meanwhile, appointed nine people to investigate corruption under Thaksin and announced plans to write a new constitution to hold future leaders more accountable. Full Story
