Mexicans began cleaning up on Sunday the wreckage left by Hurricane Lane, which killed two people and knocked down flimsy homes before it slowed into a tropical depression. In the low-lying coastal area south of the city of Culiacan, pounding rain from Hurricane Lane turned small creeks into raging currents on Saturday, washing away sections of the road to the tourist resort of Mazatlan and knocking out at least one bridge.
