India’s Prime Minister Manmohan Singh called for the public to “become allies” in the war on terror and said the threat of new attacks in the country remained serious. Singh issued the call in talks with state security chiefs that came almost two months after a series of train blasts in the financial capital Mumbai killed 183 people.
