A third-grade teacher at a Muslim school who was the last man charged as a member of the “Virginia jihad network” was sentenced to 15 years in prison yesterday after proclaiming his innocence in a tearful and angry statement to the court. Prosecutors had sought a sentence of 30 years to life in prison for Ali Asad Chandia, who was convicted of aiding a terrorist group that is fighting the government of India.
